Elemental analysis by ICP-OES: high-precision performance for your process fluids at SIEBEC LTS

Excellence in filtration and fluid treatment is founded above all on rigorous scientific analysis.

At SIEBEC, we believe that filtration excellence is built on rigorous scientific analysis of process fluids. To meet the performance requirements of our industrial customers, the SIEBEC LTS Laboratory now integrates inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES).

This new analytical capability transforms laboratory diagnostics into a true strategic lever:

  • Enhanced precision: In-depth understanding of the chemistry of your effluents.
  • Optimized process control: A decision-support tool for your treatment processes.
  • Comprehensive expertise: Strengthened synergy between laboratory analysis and filtration solutions.

The power of 7,000 °C plasma serving analytical performance

ICP-OES is based on an advanced physical principle that reveals the exact composition of a fluid within seconds:

  • Thermal excitation: The sample is introduced into an argon plasma heated to 7,000 °C.
  • Optical signature: At this temperature, the elements become ionized and emit characteristic electromagnetic radiation.
  • Ultra-sensitive detection: Our CID (Charge Injection Device) detector analyzes these emissions to identify each component with absolute reliability.

Technical performance: speed, precision, and versatility

The integration of this process within SIEBEC LTS meets the responsiveness requirements of modern industrial environments:

  • Multi-element analysis: Ability to simultaneously analyze 74 elements in a single measurement.
  • Wide measurement range: Quantification of trace elements (µg/L) and major concentrations (g/L) without interference.
  • Record responsiveness: Analysis time of approximately 2 minutes per sample.
  • Minimal sampling: Only 10 mL of sample is required for a complete diagnostic.

From chemical analysis to tailor-made filtration solutions

This scientific expertise is directly applied to your operational challenges through concrete applications:

  • Environmental compliance: Precise measurement of heavy metals to secure your effluent discharges.
  • Predictive maintenance: Analysis of hardness (Ca, Mg) and silica to prevent scaling in your installations.
  • Resource recovery: Quantification of precious metals (gold, platinum) to optimize your recovery processes.
  • Process optimization: Rigorous monitoring of the stability of your treatment baths.

By combining these data with our design expertise, we size the filtration solutions best suited to the realities of your site.
